Leigh Bowen is founder and Director of 50 Degrees North Architects. His vision was to create a practice better suited to the particular needs of homeowners and developers running small to medium sized projects. He is proud to have established an approachable business where clients can more easily access the expertise of great architects.
Prior to 50 Degrees North, Leigh studied under Sue Roaf at Oxford Brookes University combining energy efficient building and architecture. He is honoured to have worked at Bill Dunster Architects on the RIBA Stirling prize nominated green housing scheme BedZed, London. It was here that Leigh developed his passion for sustainable residential architecture.
With over 20 year’s experience, Leigh has designed a wide range of building types, uses and scales – everything from theatres to restaurants, churches to sports pavilions, from large scale developments to one-off houses. With hundreds of completed projects – Leigh brings his special blend of highly creative thinking and vast knowledge to every project.
